VINNIE MILLER OUT OF THE RACE EARLY AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY

VINNIE MILLER OUT OF THE RACE EARLY AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY

GAFFNEY, S.C. (April 16, 2018) – Vinnie Miller’s recent string of bad luck continued Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway when overheating issues and a crash relegated the No. 01 Flex Glue Chevrolet Camaro to a 33rdplace finish in the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300.

Miller qualified 34th for his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Early in the race, Miller had to spend an extended amount of time on pit road when the car began overheating. The No. 01 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team diagnosed the issue and worked hard to keep Miller on track. Unfortunately, the No. 01 was turned and collected in a multi-car crash on lap 142, ending Miller’s day early.

“I learned a ton this weekend at Bristol (Motor Speedway),” said Miller. “It is definitely its own animal; I guess that is why they call it the Last Great Coliseum! What happened at towards the end of Stage 2 really stunk, but it happens at Bristol. I look forward to going back in the Fall and conquering it then. It’s probably the hardest hit I’ve ever had, but I’m ready to keep digging and move on to Richmond (Raceway) this weekend and hopefully have a better outcome for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller, Flex Glue, and JAS Expedited Trucking.”

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Raceway on April 20th, 2018.

Gaffney, S.C. (April 12, 2018) – NASCAR Xfinity Series driver and watermelon farmer, Ross Chastain will have the Florida Watermelon Association on board his No. 4 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro for Saturday’s Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Chastain has raced at Bristol Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series six times and has had some really strong runs, including his career-best qualifying effort last year.

“This is a race that I have really been looking forward to,” said Chastain. “Bristol is one of my favorite tracks, and I can’t wait to get on track this weekend. It’s really cool to have Florida Watermelon Association on the car for this race. This time of year is when they are harvesting watermelons back home in Florida, so the watermelons you’ll find at the grocery stores right now are Florida melons.”

NASCAR Xfinity Series practice at Bristol Motor Speedway is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying will start at 9:35 a.m. on Saturday, and the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 will get the green flag at 2:30 p.m. (ET) on FS1.

Gaffney, S.C. (April 12, 2018) – Vinnie Miller, driver of the No. 01 JD Flex Glue Chevrolet Camaro, is excited for Saturday’s Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway, a track where the NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie driver has prior racing experience.

Miller raced Bristol Motor Speedway last year in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. In the 2017 race, Miller qualified in third place and finished 16th after the race was shortened by rain.

“Bristol Motor Speedway is a tough little track,” said Miller. “I raced last year in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race there, so I have some experience. I know that these NASCAR Xfinity Series cars are a lot different, so I’ll utilize every moment of practice to get up to speed. I’ve been watching the past few years’ races this week to hopefully pick up some tips. I can’t thank guys on the No. 01 Johnny Davis Motorsports with Gary Keller team enough for helping me get better every week.  Our goal is to run every lap, try to stay out of trouble, and bring home a solid finish for the team and everyone at Flex Seal and Flex Glue.”

“VehicleKEYS.com is proud to be partnering with JD Motorsports and Garrett Smithley for multiple races this season” said Joseph Mendoza, owner of VehicleKEYS.com. “We feel Garrett and JD Motorsports are perfect to represent our company.  They are honest, hardworking, and talented people, just like my team at VehicleKEYS.com.  I look forward to seeing what the future holds for all of us.”

“It means a lot to this team that Joe and everyone at VehicleKEYS.com has chosen to continue their partnership with JD Motorsports,” said Johnny Davis, JD Motorsports team owner. “The race at Auto Club Speedway was one of the strongest races that this team has ever had, so to have a sponsor recognize that is huge for us. TOUGH DAY FOR GARRETT SMITHLEY AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

TOUGH DAY FOR GARRETT SMITHLEY AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

GAFFNEY, S.C. (April 9, 2018) – Garrett Smithley had a strong run going in the My Bariatric Solutions 300 at Texas Motor Speedway before a fuel pump issue ended his race early.

Debuting new sponsors FAME and Trophy Tractor on board his No. 0 Chevrolet Camaro, Smithley placed 19th in the rain-shortened NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying. Smithley was running consistently in the top-20 though out the race, and his JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team used smart pit strategy to finish Stage Two of the race in eighth place. Unfortunately, fuel pump issues sent Smithley to the garage with 14 laps to go in the race, and the No. 0 FAME Chevy was scored in 27th place at the finish.

“This was such a fast car that it’s a real shame we didn’t get to finish,” said Smithley. “I was having so much fun during the race. My No. 0 JD Motorsports crew really brought an awesome car this week, and even though we didn’t get the finish we wanted, I’m feeling really confident about the next few races. I can’t thank FAME and Trophy Tractor enough for coming on board and for hanging out with us all weekend.”

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 14th, 2018.

ROSS CHASTAIN 12TH IN XFINITY DRIVER STANDINGS AFTER TEXAS

ROSS CHASTAIN 12TH IN XFINITY DRIVER STANDINGS AFTER TEXAS

GAFFNEY, S.C. (April 9, 2018) – The My Bariatric Solutions 300 at Texas Motor Speedway was one of the best and worst races for Ross Chastain and team JD Motorsports with Gary Keller so far in the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

Driving the No. 4 Flex Seal Chevrolet Camaro, Chastain qualified 15th for Saturday’s race. Chastain had a top fifteen and top ten car for most of the race, and the No. 4 team used smart pit strategy to finish Stage Two of the race in fourth place. Unfortunately, a rear gear failure sent Chastain to the garage early and relegated him to a 28th place finish. Despite his troubles, however, Chastain’s stage points were enough to boost him to 12th in Xfinity Series Driver Standings.

“It was an up-and-down day for us in Texas,” said Chastain. “It was so disappointing to have such a great car and not be able to finish. We were working on another top ten, or at least a top fifteen. But the fact that we can finish where we did and still advance in the points, that’s a real testament to how good this team is. My No. 4 guys are going to figure out what happened there at the end, and we’ll go to Bristol and get our finishes back on track.”

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 14th, 2018.

VINNIE MILLER’S DAY ENDS EARLY AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

VINNIE MILLER’S DAY ENDS EARLY AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

GAFFNEY, S.C. (April 9, 2018) – Vinnie Miller made his first career start at Texas Motor Speedway in Saturday’s My Bariatric Solutions 300. Unfortunately, the day ended early for Miller when his No. 01 JAS Expedited Trucking Chevrolet Camaro was involved in a crash on lap fifteen of the NASCAR Xfinity Series race.

Miller qualified in 33rd place for the race and was gaining ground before contact with the turn two wall sent the No. 01 Chevy to the garage. Miller was scored in 39th place at the conclusion of the race.

“I still feel like this was a somewhat successful weekend even though we didn’t get to finish,” said Miller. “Texas Motor Speedway is such a fast track, and I had so much fun learning to drive it this weekend. My JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team gave me a fast car, and my teammates and crew chief gave me great advice to help me learn the best way to drive there. I can’t wait to come back to Texas in the fall. We’re not going to let this finish slow us down. Next week we’ll roll on to Bristol and bring home a great finish. Huge thanks to JAS Expedited Trucking and Master Manufacturing for their continued support.”

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 14th, 2018.

ROSS CHASTAIN HAS HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

ROSS CHASTAIN HAS HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Gaffney, S.C. (April 5, 2018) – After a phenomenal race at Auto Club Speedway, Ross Chastain and team JD Motorsports with Gary Keller are feeling very confident ahead of the My Bariatric Solutions 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. Flex Seal will once again be on board Chastain’s No. 4 Chevrolet Camaro for this weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race.

Before the two week break in the schedule, Chastain ran his most consistent race so far in the 2018 season and came home in 10th place at Auto Club Speedway. Chastain has not finished outside of the top-20 in any NASCAR Xfinity Series race so far this season.

“This is the most confident that I have ever been going to Texas,” said Chastain. “The West Coast Swing really showed how strong my No. 4 team is this year. Now we’ve had two weeks to re-group and work on the cars some more. I’ll have the same car for Texas that I had in California, so it’s going to be another exciting weekend for JD Motorsports.”

NASCAR Xfinity Series practice is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. (CST) Friday. Qualifying will start at 11:10 a.m. (CST) on Saturday, and the My Bariatric Solutions 300 will get the green flag at 2:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. ET) on FOX.
