GAFFNEY, S.C. (November 13, 2017) – Ross Chastain, driver of the No. 4 Flex Seal Chevrolet Camaro for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller, continues to bring home solid finishes as the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series season nears its conclusion.

Chastain qualified 22nd for Saturday’s Ticket Galaxy 200 at Phoenix Raceway and finished the race in the 19th position.

“This was a cool race for the No. 4 Flex Seal team,” Chastain said. “We’d start off every run pretty loose, and about lap 15 it would neutral out and handle pretty good. We were the same speed as everyone around us. The car would start to get tight about 30 or 40 laps into the long green flag runs, but we were still turning better than the cars around us. My guys made small adjustments to the car all day that made it better, and we beat the cars that we needed to beat.”

The final stop for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Ford EcoBoost 300 on November 18th.

SOLID DAY FOR SMITHLEY IN PHOENIX

GAFFNEY, S.C. (November 13, 2017) – After Saturday’s Ticket Galaxy 200, Phoenix Raceway might just be on driver Garrett Smithley’s list of favorite tracks. Driving the No. 0 Flex Shot Chevrolet Camaro for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller, Smithley brought home a top 25.

“Admittedly, Phoenix is not one of my best tracks, but I like it a lot more after today,” Smithley said. “We had a really good car all day, as good as we could have. We were running a steel body car against several composite bodies. We fought tight all day long, but my Number Nuthin’ Flex Shot team made great adjustments. I’ve gotta thank Mercury Heating and Air. They picked up their support from last year, so I really appreciate that. And, as always, I can’t say enough about Flex Seal and Flex Shot and all of the support they give this team.”

Smithley’s strong finish advanced him to 21st in NASCAR Xfinity Series driver standings, just 13 points out of the top 20 going into the final race of 2017.

The final stop for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Ford EcoBoost 300 on November 18th.

It’s not the finish we wanted, but we made up a lot of ground from where we started. I can’t thank everyone at Flex Seal and Flex Tape enough for all of their support this year. I’m also thankful to Masters Properties, Inc., and Industrial Piping Solutions for coming on board.”
